Learn about CSU's roots to President Abraham Lincoln and what college was like back when we began in 1870. Learn some of the myths and legends on why some buildings no longer exist. Get a behind-the-scenes look at what some of the buildings used to be and uncover some of the mysteries that are found within. Get the inside scoop on which buildings may be haunted or maybe you will find out first-hand. This is your chance to discover the mystery of CSU's history.

Festival on the Oval

CSU Oval
Enjoy the festivities on the Oval before the parade begins with live music, activities for kids, food trucks (Umami Mobile, Feeny's Weenies, Taco Stop, and more), and a beer garden featuring Pateros Creek, New Belgium, Odell Brewing, and Branch Out Cider. We'll also have yearbooks on hand for reminiscing. The event is free and open to the public (food and beer are not free).

 

Homecoming Parade

Parade Route
From Howes and Oak down through the Oval to the West Lawn, watch the popular Homecoming parade and how the entrants are showcasing this year’s theme: 100 years of Homecoming. The grand marshal will be six-time Olympic gold medalist and CSU alumna Amy Van Dyken-Rouen.

The end of the parade serves as the beginning of the Homecoming pep rally where we gear up for the big game on Saturday. Stay for the bonfire, fireworks, and lighting of the A. The event is free and open to the public.

 

ASCSU Alumni Reunion

Immediately following the Homecoming parade, visit with ASCSU students and alumni, hear updates from the current ASCSU president and vice president, and learn about the new initiative to tell the story of shared governance at CSU. Refreshments will be provided. (Please note that the Longs Peak Room has been relocated above the ASCSU Senate Chambers.)
